Stellipress Micro - Micronised stearic acid

Dosage form: Granules, powders & powder blends, tablets

Properties:

  • Hydrophobic lubricant that reduces friction and capping problems during the manufacturing process.
  • Composition: 50/50 ratio of stearic acid and palmitic acid. Micronised powder.
  • Application: Particularly suitable for tablet manufacturing as it improves lubricity and makes tablet production more efficient.


Dubcare Stea - Stearic acid

Dosage form: Tablets, Capsules, Powder

Properties:

  • Vegetable lubricant with consistency-giving properties.
  • Composition: 50/50 ratio of stearic acid and palmitic acid. Pellets.
  • Application: Due to its consistency-giving properties, the product is mainly used to regulate viscosity in O/W emulsions. Can be used as a lubricant in oral dosage forms, as a matrix former in sustained release forms, as an emulsifier and solubiliser in topical formulations and as a hardening agent in glycerine suppositories.
  • Difference to Stellipres Micro: Dubcare Stea is plant-based and more versatile in application, while Stellipress Micro is specifically optimised for tablet production.

Properties:

  • Multifunctional, light emollient that is non-oily and non-occlusive.
  • Composition: Diester of adipic acid and isopropanol. Liquid.
  • Application: Ideal for creams and gels as it offers fast spreadability and absorption and leaves a soft skin feel. Provides low residual stickiness and a mild drying effect, which distinguishes it from other emollients.


Stelliester DBS - Dibutyl Sebacate

Functions: Co-emulsifier, coating system, emollient, plasticiser, solubiliser, surfactant

Dosage form: Capsules, creams, gels, ointments, soft gels

Properties:

  • Diester with excellent spreading properties.
  • Composition: Diester of sebacic acid and butyl alcohol. Liquid.
  • Application: Suitable for dermal applications and as a plasticiser for the film coating of tablets and granules. Can also be used in controlled release tablets and microcapsule preparations.
