Plant extracts for detergents and cleaning agents

Detergents and cleaning agents with plant-based and environmentally friendly ingredients are becoming increasingly popular. 

Plant extracts lend every formulation that special something. Especially when worked into rinse-off, detergent, and cleaning formulations, extracts can be used to make better product claims and serve as inspiration.

DETERGENTS AND CLEANING AGENTS INSPIRED BY NATURE

From our supply partner Givaudan, we have added more new plant extracts to our range. In addition to well-known products like aloe vera, ginger, lavender, and orange, we now also have many exotic ingredients like butcher’s broom or dragon fruit in the product selection.

These plant extracts are mainly available either as powder extracts (PE) or pre-dissolved in glycerin (LG). The recommended concentration, and thus the active content of the respective product, differs for each variant. The recommended application concentration for the powder extracts is approx. 0.01–0.1%, and for the pre-dissolved forms is approx. 0.01–1%.
