Isopropyl myristatein pharmaceutical quality (IPM)

Isopropyl myristate (IPM), an ester of myristic acid, is used as an oil component in pharmaceutical products. IPM is a fast-spreading emulsifier that has moisturizing properties. IPM can be used as a solubilizer in creams, lotions and aerosols.

Given its pediculicidal action, IPM is also used in products for treating head lice.
